Founded in 2007, Qnective set out to develop a proprietary mobile IP communication solution specifically for Operators, Internet Service Providers and Social Networks. With the ever increasing success of companies like Skype in the fixed line VoIP space, attention was being turned to the mobile environment which posed some major technological problems for IP developers (e.g. poor stability, bandwidth, base station cell handover etc.).

Qnective’s technology was designed to address each of the main stumbling blocks to replicate GSM quality voice and data services through mobile IP.
In addition, the security aspect of mobile communication was becoming a real problem for leading corporations in sensitive industries and Qnective incorporated the ability to encrypt voice and data in its portfolio of products and services for added user peace of mind.

Qnective’s portfolio of innovative products and services has been recently chosen by leading players in the world of communications like BT and IPtoGo.

Initially funded by North American Angel investors, Qnective was listed on the OTC Bulletin Board until 2010 when the company became a private Swiss enterprise. Qnective recently completed a round of financing with a network of local, Swiss based investors.
